You’ve Been Trained—Now What?

You’ve learned the model. But applying it with real kids? That’s the hard part.

You’ve completed the trainings. You’ve read the research. You understand how exposure-based CBT is supposed to work—especially with kids who experience anxiety or OCD.

But when you’re actually in the room, sitting across from a child who’s scared to go to school, touch a doorknob, or be alone?

You pause.

You second-guess.

You find yourself wondering:

  • How do I explain this concept in a way that makes sense to a 9-year-old?

  • How do I build an exposure plan that fits this child’s actual life?

  • How do I engage the parent without derailing the session?

  • What does “good ERP” actually sound like in a session?

You want therapy to stick. To feel less like a worksheet and more like a breakthrough.

But between session prep, complex cases, and the pressure to do it all on your own—it’s hard to stay creative, effective, and confident.

The Hub is here to change that.

You’re Not Alone—And You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone

Many therapists have foundational training in CBT and ERP, but still feel stuck when it comes to actually applying it in the room.

You want to stay evidence-based. You want to do this work well. But vague advice and scattered resources aren’t helping.

You don’t need more theory.

You don’t need another handout buried in your downloads folder.

You need practical guidance.

Clear examples.

Tools you’ll actually use.

And a platform that keeps it all right at your fingertips.

What is the Hub?

The Child Therapist Hub by The Anxiety + OCD Clinic is a thoughtfully curated space for therapists using exposure-based therapy with kids—created by a seasoned clinician, supported by experts, and grounded in real-world practice.

This isn’t a course. It’s your go-to library of tools, examples, and real-time support to help you bring evidence-based treatment to life—in the room, with real kids.

Inside, you’ll find:

  • Creative, ready-to-use ideas to help therapy actually connect
  • Expert support so you don’t feel stuck or alone
  • Organized, phase-based resources that reduce the mental load

So you can spend less time prepping—and more time actually helping kids make meaningful progress.

founder of The Child Therapist Hub, and a clinician who’s been in your shoes.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping elementary-aged kids navigate anxiety—especially when it shows up as school refusal, sleep struggles, or big fears that take over daily life. I use evidence-based treatments like CBT and ERP, but I also believe therapy needs to feel creative, encouraging, and tailored to each child and family.

Over the past 17+ years, I’ve worked with hundreds of children with anxiety and OCD. I’ve trained with the best, taught at national conferences, and built a thriving clinic in St. Louis focused entirely on this work.

But early in my career?

I remember wishing I could just watch another therapist—see what they said, how they explained things, what metaphors they used. I wanted practical support. Real-life examples. And tools I didn’t have to dig for in a cluttered downloads folder.

That’s why I created the Hub:

The resource I wish I had back then—easy to access, rooted in evidence, and actually helpful in session.

What Therapists Are Saying:

Kim Rockwell-Evans, PhD

I’ve been in this field a long time and am well-trained in treating anxiety and OCD, but I still find Angela’s materials to be a total game-changer. The Child Therapist Hub is absolutely brilliant—Angela has hit it out of the park with this one! I used several of the handouts with a 10-year-old client today, and she loved them. We went through the anxiety cycle doc, and even though this client could already explain the cycle, something really clicked when she heard the story of the little brother screaming for a soda. She kept saying how much she loved the handouts and even asked, ‘Is Angela going to make this into a book?’

Angela has chosen just the right words in these materials. The resources are clear, engaging, and developmentally spot-on. It takes so much stress off of me to have excellent tools I can trust and use right away. For any child therapist learning to treat OCD and anxiety, these resources will be invaluable.

Lauren Goldberger, LCSW

"Having Angela as my supervisor was one of the greatest joys at the start of my career as a therapist. She brought compassion, support, and a level of creativity that’s truly unmatched. As someone who often felt overwhelmed trying to make therapy engaging for younger clients, I could always count on Angela to offer a fresh perspective or suggest a fun, effective approach. I’m incredibly grateful for her guidance and the foundation she helped me build."

Hayley Wyatt, LCSW

"Working under Angela has always been an incredible experience and I feel so fortunate to work with her. Her guidance is consistently insightful, compassionate, and deeply impactful. Her creativity in developing strategies for children and their families is unmatched, and her extensive knowledge of anxiety and OCD provides every supervision   with depth and clarity. I cannot say enough positive things about her."

Katie Silversmith, LCSW

"As a colleague of Angela's for nearly 10 years, I can’t say enough about Angela’s depth of knowledge and integrity. She brings a rare combination of clinical precision and calm warmth to her work with kids facing anxiety and OCD. Watching her navigate complex cases with patience, clarity and creativity has taught me so much. She’s the kind of therapist who not only delivers excellent care but also raises the bar for those around her. If you have the chance to learn from Angela, take it! You’ll walk away with creative tools and strategies, new approaches to exposure work, and increased confidence in your clinical skills."

Madeline Goodwill, LCSW

"Angela is a child therapist's guru.  Her wealth of knowledge is unmatched and her insight and guidance on working with children is something unique.  She has such a way of making therapy creative, fun, and thinking of ideas truly engaging both therapist and child.  I would recommend her over and over to anyone working with children! ."

Lauren Powers, LCPC

The Hub is a top-notch resource for kid/teen therapists specializing in anxiety and OCD. There are so many fantastic resources and Angela has put so much thought into helping therapists know how to practically use all of the resources in sessions with kids and families! I love the organization and videos showing exactly how she uses everything!

“But do I really need this?”

→ I already know this stuff.

You probably do. But watching another therapist implement a technique with kids—especially in a playful, developmentally-appropriate way—is incredibly rare. It’s the difference between reading about a skill and knowing how to teach it.

→ I’ve downloaded tons of resources already.

Same. But if those tools are lost in a folder somewhere, they’re not helping anyone. The Hub is organized by treatment phase and easy to search. You’ll know exactly where to go to find what you need.

→ I’m not sure I can justify another monthly expense.

You’re not alone. That’s why the Hub includes live consult calls, video demos, and expert access—resources that would cost hundreds if purchased individually. It’s the clinical support and creative relief you deserve, at a price designed to work for working therapists.
